I look forward to so many things in the holiday season and one of those is eggnog lattes! Oh how I love them. This year I’m even more obsessed with eggnog. I have been experimenting with some cookie recipes. I will post one when I find the perfect one.
There is no doubt the Starbucks eggnog latte is to die for! It is one of my favorite Starbucks drink. But, after I started tracking my macros and I realized how many carbs this drink has! So ridiculous!! It’s a little hard to fit a high macro drink like that in my macros, and honestly, I would rather eat my macros than drink them. So I decided to make my own at home and its is still so delicious! Maybe one day I will order just a regular one at Starbucks, but this easy recipe allows me to enjoy this holiday drink everyday of the month if I want to!
- 2 oz light holiday eggnog. I usually by the HEB brand.
- 1 large cup of coffee. I do a large in my Keurig.
- Mix well. If I have time, I put it in my blender for a min and its makes so even better!
- Sprinkle with cinnamon. You could even top with a little bit of whipped cream.
When I am running low on macros I do about 1 oz. of light eggnog instead of creamer or milk and it’s still very yummy. I have also tried almond eggnog. Even though it is more macro-friendly, I still think the original light eggnog is better. Might be a good option if you’re vegan.
